  • Do not leave the person to their fate. Offer to assist. Stay by them while they seek for help. With your support, the individual will likely follow through with asking for help.
  • If the person declines to talk with you about their current situation, don’t force it. Instead, just let them know you are open for discussion whenever they need you. Remind yourself that you did what you could to help.

Depression should not be handled lightly. If you or a loved one is feeling depressed, find a way out of it as quickly as possible.
